Looking back at yesterday’s storm, recognizing the people God sent as comforters, and leaning on His ultimate control.
Reflecting on Yesterday’s Storm
Yesterday felt like the beginning of a storm—one that is ultimately in God’s hands as to how long it will last. But even in the turbulence, He is by my side, providing the strength needed to face it. He is the ultimate comforter.
What stood out most looking back on a very difficult day was realizing that every single person I encountered yesterday was sent by God.
Whether it was a quick phone call, a text message, someone showing up in person, or simply being willing to listen, He orchestrated comfort when it was needed most. From the people I love most!
Being able to let my guard down completely—raw, unfiltered, and with nothing to hide—opened the door to true healing. It ended with a profound sense of peace born from venting, releasing the weight, and handing it over.
The Value of Godly Wisdom
Along with comfort, God brings wisdom through the people He places in our lives. As Scripture reminds us, we are called to listen to wise counsel, weigh it carefully, and discern what we need to hear through His eyes:
“The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advice.” — Proverbs 12:15
“Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise.” — Proverbs 19:20
It is up to us to receive that wisdom, discern what aligns with His truth, and act on it. Ultimately, He is in control of the entire journey, and we are simply the vessels carrying it out.
